Accessibility Statement for the Exacom Public-Facing Module

At Exacom, we believe that it is important that everyone can use and access data relevant to them. We have made it our priority to ensure that our systems are as accessible as possible.

This statement applies to the Exacom Public-Facing Module software. This software is created and hosted by EXACOM SYSTEMS LTD.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, you should be able to use it effectively on any mobile device, zoom in up to 500% while still being able to easily access all of the site, and navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software.

How accessible this website is

To our knowledge, this system is fully accessible in line with the latest version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2 as of writing). For some authorities, the following aspects may not be fully accessible:
•  Due to the nature and scale of the data, users may need to scroll across the dashboards to view all of the columns and the data within them.
•  Some PDFs and other documents present in the software may not be fully accessible.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

PDFs and other documents: Exacom clients are able to upload their own PDFs, images and other documents to the Exacom system. These documents and files are then shared to the Public-Facing Module. Exacom themselves are not responsible for the accessibility of these uploads: they are the responsibility of those publishing their data on the Public-Facing Module.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Although the Public-Facing Module meets the AA standards and all AAA standards aside from some colouring choices (which we believe improve the overall ease-of-use), we are continuously planning to improve and refine our accessibility. We invite feedback from authorities and we’re keeping up to date on the developing version 3 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
